Fishing Beyond the Tourist Route
Travel north from Namibia through Serra da Leba and Namibe before heading into Angola’s remote south. The expedition includes Vanessa Shipwreck, Iona National Park, Doodsakker (Death Acre), Foz do Cunene and several days of fishing and camping along the Atlantic coast.

Meet at Palmeiras Lodge
Oshikango
Meet the group at Palmeiras Lodge in Oshikango, complete final preparations and get ready to cross into Angola.

Leba Plateau
Oshikango to Serra da Leba
Cross into Angola and travel north via Ondjiva, Cahama, Chibia and Lubango. Continue to the Serra da Leba area for the first overnight stop in Angola.

Namibe & Flamingo Coast
Leba Plateau to the coast
Travel down Serra da Leba toward Namibe and continue south to the Flamingo Coast. Settle into camp and prepare for the first serious stretch of Angola surf fishing.

Flamingo Coast Fishing
Full fishing day
Spend the day surf fishing the remote Atlantic coastline, targeting productive areas along the Flamingo Coast with local guidance and 4x4 access.

Vanessa Shipwreck
Wild coastal camp
Continue south along the remote Angolan coast to the Vanessa Shipwreck area. Set up a wild camp near the Atlantic and prepare for the next stage toward Foz do Cunene.

Foz do Cunene
Vanessa Shipwreck to the Cunene Mouth
Continue south through increasingly remote terrain to Foz do Cunene. Set up camp near the Cunene River mouth for three nights of fishing and exploration.

Doodsakker / Death Acre
Coastal 4x4 & fishing
Drive the legendary Doodsakker coastal route, exploring remote fishing areas between the dunes and Atlantic before returning to camp at Foz do Cunene.

Cunene Mouth Fishing
Full fishing day
Spend another full day fishing around Foz do Cunene and the surrounding coastline, with time to explore different productive shore-fishing areas.

Iona to Namibe
Return through Iona National Park
Break camp and travel north through Iona National Park toward Namibe. Overnight at Hotel Viva after several days on the remote coast.
10
Return to Namibia
Namibe to Palmeiras Lodge
Travel south through Angola, cross the border back into Namibia and finish the expedition at Palmeiras Lodge in Oshikango.
