This is not a casual day trip.
The Kunene Mouth trips sit apart from our core Flamingo / Vanessa fishing departures. The route is remote, the distances matter and vehicle preparation is part of the expedition.
We keep the middle of October open primarily for servicing, turnaround, resupply and preparation before these specialist departures. That gap is deliberate: the next trip should not leave because the calendar is full; it should leave because the vehicles and expedition systems are ready.
Important: exact route, border requirements, vehicle requirements, camping plan and fishing logistics are confirmed in the current trip pack before booking.

The drive is part of the fishing plan.
On a remote coastal expedition, recovery equipment, fuel planning, communications, convoy discipline and vehicle condition are not side notes. They determine whether the fishing part of the trip can happen safely and efficiently.

These trips make most sense for guests who are comfortable with longer travel days, remote camping or basic facilities, changing conditions and the practical realities of self-drive expedition travel.

Is this the same as the 10-day Flamingo / Vanessa tour?
No. The Kunene Mouth trips are separate specialist departures later in the 2027 season.
Can I join with any 4x4?
Vehicle suitability and preparation are confirmed for the specific expedition. Do not assume that owning a 4x4 automatically means it is expedition-ready.
Is the optional November trip confirmed?
No. The 22 November–1 December 2027 trip is subject to demand and is not part of the core calendar.
Are fishing results guaranteed?
No. Conditions and fish movement determine results. We do not guarantee a catch, species or fish size.
