The 21-day format is intended to go beyond a short southern loop, combining the highlands and Atlantic coast with more inland Angola and time for major landscape stops.
The Grand Tour brochure takes you from Palmeiras Lodge in Oshikango through Cuban Bunkers, Lubango and Leba to Vanessa, Camp Relief, Foz do Cunene, Colinas/Lake Arco, Praia do Soba and Lobito. Continue via Binga Bay, Binga Falls, Cuanza Falls, Kalandula and Pungo Andongo/Pedras Negras, returning via Quibala, Waku Kungo and Lubango.

Where does the Grand Tour start and finish?
The tour starts and finishes at Oshikango. Day 1 is the meeting and preparation day at Palmeiras; day 2 crosses at Santa Clara. Day 21 returns to Oshikango. An extra night after the tour can be arranged separately.
Is this primarily a fishing tour?
No. The Grand Tour focuses on sightseeing and overland travel, with full leisure days at Praia do Soba and Kalandula. Travellers wanting fishing as the main priority should compare the 10-day fishing departures or Kunene Mouth specialist trips.
What is included?

Day-by-day itinerary
21 days and 20 nights, starting and finishing at Oshikango. Full leisure days and second nights at Praia do Soba and Kalandula, plus a movable coastal leisure/contingency day normally at Vanessa. The buffer may move within the coastal section and does not guarantee Doodsakker passage; tides, swell and local conditions must permit the crossing. Exact overnight properties and camps are confirmed before departure. Timing and route sequence may change with weather, tides, border procedures and local access.

Cross at Santa Clara and travel via Xangongo and Cahama to the Cuban Bunkers camp. Timing depends on border progress and local conditions.

Cuban Bunkers via the highlands to Lubango
Travel via Chibia and Humpata, visiting the Dorsland Trekker Memorial and tank graveyard before continuing to Lubango.

Visit Cristo Rei and Tundavala, then continue to the Leba Plateau for the overnight stop.

Descend Serra da Leba, resupply in Namibe and continue to Vanessa Shipwreck for a coastal overnight.

A coastal leisure and contingency day, normally at Vanessa. Move it within the coastal section as conditions require. This buffer does not guarantee Doodsakker passage.

Payment and booking confirmation
The R1,000 per-person part-payment is credited towards your total tour price. Payment received and written confirmation reserve your booking.
Monthly instalments are available at no additional fee; amounts and dates are agreed in writing and recorded in your quotation. The full balance is due 30 days before departure for Angola, or 30 days before arrival for Namibia fishing tours and packages.
Within 30 days, full payment is required once availability and acceptance are confirmed.
